40K League Rules and Schedule:
The 40k League will meet at Delight every Sunday at noon and 4pm (you will be told in advance when to come in). We will play at 500pts, 1000pts, 1500pts, and 2000pts for four weeks each with a one week break in between brackets.
Pairings will be announced Saturday night before the league day. If you need to reschedule, you have until the store closes on the next Saturday to complete your game.

Games will have a 2 hour per person time limit. We have chess clocks to keep track. When a player’s clock runs out, they can finish whatever action they are currently doing (roll the rest of the dice for already declared attacks, finish moving a unit, etc.) After this, they can only roll saves and score points for missions they already have. They cannot move, shoot, use stratagems, or draw new missions. The person with time still on the clock can continue to play as normal until the game ends, or they also run out of time.
You are free to discuss your armies, check the terrain on your board, and layout deployment zones, and deploy your armies without the clock. Once the first players turn starts, their time starts. Switch the clock to the opponent at the end of your turn, or if they are doing something during your turn which takes a significant amount of time (reactive moves, fire overwatch, etc). If you need to call a judge, you may pause the clock and the game until your question is answered.

Players must submit an army list at the beginning of each point bracket to the army list channel in the discord. If you are not able to, please email it to Delightcottagegrove@gmail.com instead and we will upload it. Your main list must be under the point total. There is also a reserve equal to 20% of the main list. For example, for the 1000pt bracket, you would have a 1000pt list + 200 points of additional models, enhancements, etc which can be switched out week by week. Once the point bracket begins, you can only change your list if the official rules for your army change, or you have another reason approved by the store. You can submit a completely new list and army for each point bracket. Please have your list submitted by Saturday the night before play starts. legendary models are not allowed.

We will be ignoring the rule which awards game points for a fully painted army. 3D printed models and proxies are allowed, but must be roughly the same size and shape as the model they are standing in for.

Due to our point system awarding league points for a warlord kill, you are required to have your warlord deployed for at least two total rounds. You cannot leave them in reserves the whole game.

If you show up 15+ minutes late without notice, you will have 30min subtracted from your clock. If you are 30min late without notice, you will receive a game loss. Both of these penalties can be waived if you contact the store with an ETA or request to reschedule.

Tables will be set up by Delight staff, and will be roughly the same for everyone. Players can choose their table in the order they arrive. Players will be assigned a pre chosen primary mission and deployment. It will be the same for everyone each week.
Winners will be determined by league point total:
Game win - 1 point
Warlord KO - 1 point
Post your league game and TAG DELIGHT on social media (we are on FB and Instagram) - 0.25 point

Entry is $30 per point bracket.
The total prize pool will be equal to the entries paid in. Each bracket will have top three prizing in store credit equal to 70% of the entries for that bracket. First place will get 40%, second 20%, and third 10%. The remaining 30% will go towards the overall prize for the entire league. The overall prize pool will be divided into 50% to first place, 30% to second, 20% to third.
For example, if eight people signed up for each point bracket:
Total per month: 240
Monthly first place - 96 (240x0.4)
Monthly second - 48 (240x0.2)
Monthly third - 24 (240x0.1)
Overall prize total: 288 (240x0.3x4)
Overall first place - 144 (288x0.5)
Overall second place - 86.4 (288x0.3)
Overall third place - 57.6 (288x0.3)
