Take back your home

You are a dark elf. The towering city of Spire, once your home, has been occupied by the high elves for over two hundred years. Now, you have joined a secret organization known as the Ministry, a paramilitary cult with a single aim – to overthrow the cruel high elves and restore the drow as the rightful rulers of the city.

A game of brutal politics and espionage

In Spire, life is fraught with peril at every turn. Every choice carries consequences, and players can’t afford to lose their resolve. And make no mistake – the world of Spire is not a kind place. Working for the Ministry, rebelling against the aelfir? It will kill you, one way or another.

No experience needed

If you’ve never played Spire or another game using the Resistance System, don’t worry: Learning to play only takes a few minutes, and premade characters will be provided for this game. Players only need to bring their dice and a willingness to learn some new rules (and maybe snacks).

Spire: The City Must Fall

Spire is a dark, gritty game of secret war against the cruel high elves, or aelfir. It’s a game where characters are will suffer cruelty at the hands of their oppressors and expect betrayal from their allies. But for those willing to do what it takes, Spire is poised for full-scale rebellion. Will you push it over the edge?

What is Spire?

Spire is a mile-high impossible city, older than anyone can remember. Two hundred years ago the high elves, or aelfir, took it from the dark elves, or drow, after a brutal and bloody war. Now they graciously allow the drow live in the city as the aelfir continue their conquest down south, caught up in a bloody struggle with the hyena-faced gnolls of far Nujab and armies of human mercenaries.

How do you play Spire?

Characters in Spire are made of two parts: a class, which provides their abilities and aptitudes, and a durance which provides some background skills and a place in the world. Rolls are made using 1-4 d10s (10-sided dice) for skills and d4, d6, or d8 for damage rolls. Extra dice will be available.
